I also ran a bunch of errands today. Paid some bills, got extra $$ for myself so I stay away from the ATM. Picked up some food stuff. Man oh man was that salad ever good! Okie day, yesterday before I went over my friend's house, I replanted the tomatoes, cukes,okra and carrots in larger containers so they could spread out more before I put them in the second raised bed. I did manage despite being in pain from both the knee and ankle bugging to get some needful things done. I got some grow lights plus mole/gopher repellant, checked out the feed spikes for the fruit trees but not sure I will do so since it requires a whole lot of bending over. Glad the week is over. Almost. I would much rather be here than on those roads messing around in that crazy rain. I just spent the past two days trying unsuccessfully to keep most of the inside of the coop dry. Wild birds have discovered the chicken's food and have been feasting on it. Of course wild birds have all kinds of diseases which would transfer from their fucking poop to the chickens. Damnit! Stay out! So I had to close the coop up twice to keep them out only to find them inside once I opened it. Now I have to find a way to keep the chickens ( Read more... )

I did finish the coop roof to my liking but still got an extra tarp and some bungies just incase. Also moved one of the composters over so they get a bit more sun and perhaps bounce more heat off each other but no so close you can't moved between them. Been more than a year and still everything isn't broken down the first composter. But I haven't ( Read more... )

I noticed on my three chickens who were attacked that their beaks look as if they are growning back. Severely bitten off, Delilah them was not eating well; Diana had to eat out of the side of her mouth while Belinda had no beak tip. Ebony had a small injury not nearly like the others ( Read more... )
